Offline Field Work

Overview

Offline Field Work enables organizations to collect survey responses in locations with limited or no internet connectivity.

Using the Offline Field Work solution, surveys can be assigned to field agents, downloaded to a mobile device, completed offline, and synchronized back to the platform once internet access becomes available.

Offline Field Work consists of:

  • Offline Field Work Portal – Used to manage users and survey assignments.

  • Offline Field Work Mobile Application – Used to download surveys and collect responses offline.

Common use cases:

  • Field surveys

  • Retail audits

  • Door-to-door interviews

  • Rural data collection

  • Event-based research

How It Works

  1. Users are created and granted access.

  2. Surveys are assigned to agents.

  3. Agents download assigned surveys.

  4. Responses are collected offline.

  5. Responses are synced when internet access becomes available.

  6. Data becomes available for reporting and analysis.

Accessing Offline Field Work

  1. Open the survey.

  2. Navigate to the Share tab.

  3. Click Offline Field Work.

This opens the Offline Field Work Portal.

The portal is used to:

  • Manage users

  • Assign surveys

  • Control access

  • Monitor assignments

Offline Field Work Mobile Application

The mobile application allows agents to:

  • View assigned surveys

  • Download surveys

  • Collect responses offline

  • Sync responses

Syncing Responses

Responses collected offline remain stored on the device until synchronized.

To sync responses:

  1. Connect to the internet.

  2. Open the mobile application.

  3. Sync the collected responses.

Once synced, responses become available for reporting and analysis.

Important Notes

  • Internet is not required to conduct surveys.

  • Internet is required to sync responses.

  • Agents can only access assigned surveys.

  • Surveys should be downloaded before going offline.
