Image/Video Choice Question
Overview
The Image/Video Choice question type in SurveySensum allows survey creators to present answer options using images or videos instead of only text, making surveys more visual and engaging for respondents.
Respondents select their preferred option by clicking on a media-based choice card, which behaves just like a Multiple Choice question in the survey. This question type is ideal for product testing, ad evaluation, brand recognition, and any scenario where visual stimuli are central to the research.
How to Access the Feature
Click on Editor from the left sidebar.
Hover between existing questions until the + icon appears. Click it to insert a new question at that position.
In the question type panel that opens, search for or scroll to Image/Video Choice.
Select Image/Video Choice to add it to your survey. It appears after Short Text in the panel list.
Building the Question

Option Text Field: Enter a label or name for the option. This label appears alongside or below the media.

You can mix images and videos within the same question — for example, some options can be images while others are video files.
3. Upload Media Modal : When you click the media upload icon on any option, the Upload Media modal appears with two methods to attach media:
Upload media files directly from your device.
Supported formats: Image files (JPEG, PNG, etc.) and video formats.
Both images and videos can be uploaded within the same question.
Image size limit: Under 1 MB.
Video size limit: Under 10 MB.
