Dashboard Widget-Level Filter
Feature Overview
Widget-level filter allows you to apply filters to a single widget (individual visualization) on the dashboard instead of the entire dashboard.
This is useful when you want to analyze specific data within one widget without affecting other widgets on the same dashboard.
if a widget-level filter is applied, the global dashboard filter will not affect that widget
How to Access the Feature
Follow these steps to access widget-level filters:
- Go to Dashboards from the top navigation bar
- Click on the Edit button on the dashboard
3.On any widget, click the three-dot menu (⋮)
4. Select Widget Settings
5. Apply Filter
(a). Navigate to the Filters tab
(b). click on + Add filter
(c). Now you can configure you filter from panel.
6. Before Save filter
(a) Preview of your widget, it give you idea about "How your widget will look like".
(b) The “Show filters on the widget” option allows you to display the applied filter directly on the widget.
(c) After configuring the filter, click Save Changes
After adding a filter in the Filters tab, enable the “Show filters on the widget” then the Preview of each filter is visible.
You can:
Select or deselect values
Modify the applied filter
Remove the filter directly by using (x)
This interaction is available in both Edit mode and View mode
