Slack Integration

Slack Integration enables you to connect SurveySensum with your Slack workspace, allowing survey responses and alerts to be shared instantly with your team within Slack channels or direct messages.

What do you need to set up this integration?

    • Slack Account
    • SurveySensum Account
    • A Survey on SurveySensum to link on Slack
Steps to Set Up Slack Integration:
  • Go to your survey.

  • Click on the “Integrations” tab at the top menu.

  • Click on "Slack" to move ahead.


  • Choose Slack Account

    • Choose a Slack workspace/account from the dropdown.

    • Or click “Add a new one” to authorize a different Slack account.


  • Choose Where to Send Responses

    • Select Target: 

      • Channel: Visible to the entire team. 

      • User: Sent as a direct message.

      • Use the dropdown to pick a specific channel or user.


  1. Choose Notification Type
    1. Individual Responses:
      • Sends every response instantly.

      • Optionally check “Do not send skipped responses”


    • Summary of Responses:

      • Aggregated report shared weekly/monthly.

      • Choose:

        • Frequency (e.g., weekly),

        • Time range for summary (e.g., last 30 days),

        • Comparison period (e.g., last 7 days),

        • Specific questions to include.


  1. Finalize and Save
    • Click “Turn On” .

    • Integration is now active; Slack notifications will begin based on your selected settings.

Once the automation is set up and individual response notifications are enabled, each new survey response will be shared in Slack in the following format


When you select "Summary of Responses" during Slack integration setup, the system sends an aggregated data summary notification to the selected Slack channel/user.
