How to integrate SurveySensum surveys in HubSpot Campaigns

This document will help you understand how to integrate SurveySensum with Hubspot’s marketing email campaigns.

 

This integration will help you capture certain data from your hubspot campaigns such as name or email address of the respondent (and other details supported by Hubspot) to make feedback tracking easier.


You can share the survey using two different methods:


  • Share via Direct link

  • Share as Embedded survey


Once you’ve created your survey on SurveySensum platform, go to the share tab and click on Share via CRM. Then proceed as follows



  1. Under Identify respondents, select Hubspot from the dropdown menu.

  2. Scroll down and select the variables (or metadata) that you would like to acquire from the campaigns. The link will get updated automatically.



SHARE VIA DIRECT LINK


  1. Copy the link and paste it in your email campaign in Hubspot as a hyperlink or a cta button.


SHARE AS EMBEDDED SURVEY


  1. Click on get code and then click on copy to copy the whole code.

  1. Go to Hubspot and select email in the marketing tab.

  1. Click on create email and select any template (or create a new one).

  1. While editing the template, click on the more button and drag and drop the < HTML - Email > where you want to embed the survey.

  1. Replace the HTML code with the code you copied before.

  1. Click on send test email to test your survey and you’re good to go.


Note: Ignore the warning message by Hubspot regarding the code. The code will work even with the message prompted.
