Tag Groups help you organize related tags into a single collection, making it easier to filter and analyze feedback. Once a group is created, selecting the group automatically selects all the tags within it, saving time when working with multiple related themes.
To create a tag group
-
Open Text Analytics and go to the Train Verbatim tab.
-
In the Manage Tags panel, select the tags you want to include in a group.

-
Click Group Tags.
In the Create New Group dialog:
-
Enter a Group Name.
-
Click Create Group.
The selected tags are now organized under the newly created group in the Manage Tags panel.
Using a tag group
To analyze responses for an entire group, simply select the group checkbox. All tags within that group are automatically selected, allowing you to filter and work with multiple related tags at once.
Manage a tag group
Click the options (⋮) icon next to a tag group to access additional actions:
-
Edit Group – Rename the group or modify the tags included in it.
-
Delete Group – Remove the group.
When deleting a group, you'll be prompted to choose one of the following options:
-
Delete only the group – Removes the group while keeping all the tags inside it. The tags become individual tags again.
-
Delete group and all the tags within – Deletes both the group and every tag contained within it.
After selecting the desired option, click Delete Group to confirm.
Tips
-
Group tags based on common themes, such as Product Experience, Customer Support, or Delivery Issues, to simplify analysis.
-
Tag groups are ideal for quickly applying filters across multiple related topics instead of selecting individual tags each time.
-
Individual tags remain fully editable and can belong to your overall tagging structure even after a group is created.
