How do I add a link in my survey?
SurveySensum allows you to add clickable hyperlinks anywhere within your survey questions. You can link text to websites, help articles, product pages, or any external URL, making it easy to provide respondents with additional information without cluttering the survey.
To add a link
- Open your survey in the Build tab.
- Navigate to the question where you want to add the hyperlink.
- Select the text that you want respondents to click.

Right-click the selected text and click the Link (🔗) icon from the formatting toolbar.
- In the Insert/Edit Link dialog:
- Enter the destination URL.

Enter or review the Text to display.
- Click Save.
The selected text is now converted into a clickable hyperlink and appears underlined, indicating that a link has been applied.
Manage an existing link
To modify a hyperlink, right-click the linked text or click on the link. The following options are available:
- Edit Link – Update the destination URL or the display text.
- Remove Link – Remove the hyperlink while keeping the text.

Open Link – Open the linked URL in a new browser tab to verify it.
Tips
- Links can be added to any question that supports rich text formatting.
- Use descriptive display text instead of pasting long URLs directly into the survey for a cleaner respondent experience.

After adding a link, preview your survey to ensure the hyperlink opens the correct destination before publishing.
- By default the link will be re-directed to a new tab when the user clicks on it.
