Dashboard AI Summary

Overview

The Dashboard AI Summary feature helps you quickly understand the story behind your data without manually reviewing every widget on the Dashboard. It analyzes the dashboard data based on the applied filters and generates an overall summary along with actionable recommendations.

CX teams can identify customer experience trends, Business leaders can monitor key metrics, and Regional managers can generate insights for specific segments, channels, or locations by just one click.
You can also schedule automatic summary generation to keep your reports updated at all times.

Dashboard AI Summary is available as an add-on feature and may not be enabled in all accounts by default. To request access, please contact your SurveySensum representative or the SurveySensum support team.

How to Access the Feature




  1. Navigate to the Dashboard module.
  2. Open the dashboard for which you want to generate insights.
  3. Locate the Dashboard Summary section at the top of the dashboard.
  4. Click Generate AI Summary to begin the analysis process.
  5. The system analyzes all dashboard data based on the current filters and displays the result in a collapsible panel at the top of the dashboard.

Any filters applied during the generation process are included in the analysis, ensuring that the summary accurately reflects the selected data set.
Notes
Regenerate Now -> Re-runs the AI analysis using the same configuration and refreshes the summary with current data.
Warning
Your dashboard has been updated since the last summary was generated. The existing summary may not reflect the latest widgets, filters, or configuration changes. Click Regenerate Now to generate an updated summary.
Info
AI Summary is not available for text-based widgets such as Text Box, Long/Short Text, Word Cloud, Trending Tags, Sentiment (Overall), and Responses widgets.

Schedule AI Summary Generation

The Schedule Updates feature allows you to automatically regenerate AI summaries at predefined intervals. Instead of manually generating summaries every time the underlying data changes, you can create a schedule to keep your insights updated automatically.
To configure a schedule, click Schedule updates from the Dashboard Summary panel. This opens the Schedule Updates configuration window, where you can enable automatic summary generation and select the desired frequency.

How to configure a schedule




  1. Open the dashboard summary panel.
  2. Click Schedule updates.
  3. Enable the Set a schedule for AI Summary generation option.
  4. Select the preferred schedule type.
  5. Configure the required date, day, and time settings.
  6. Click Save Changes to activate the schedule.

Available scheduling options


  • Daily: Generate an AI summary every day at the selected time.
  • Weekly: Generate an AI summary on one or more selected days every week.
  • Monthly: Generate an AI summary on one or more selected dates every month.
  • Quarterly: Generate an AI summary every three months according to the selected schedule.
  • Half Yearly: Generate an AI summary once every six months.
  • Annually: Generate an AI summary once every year on the selected date and time.
  • Multiple time slots: Configure multiple execution times within the same schedule.
  • Skip weekends: Enable this option to exclude Saturdays and Sundays from the schedule.

View User Experience

View users have read-only access to the AI Summary. They can review the generated insights but cannot create, modify, regenerate, or schedule summaries.

View user permissions

  • View users can access the summary only after it has been generated by an admin on shared Dashboard.
  •  View users can't Generate or Regenerate the AI summary by itself.
  • The Regenerate Now and Schedule Updates options are restricted for view user.
  • View users can see only the data that falls within their assigned permission scope.
  • If no summary has been generated on shared dashboard, view users can't see the anything related to AI summary.
  • Any changes made by administrators are reflected in the summary only after it is regenerated.
