Conditional Survey Throttling

Conditional Survey Throttling

Overview

Conditional Survey Throttling allows you to apply different throttling periods to different respondent segments within the same survey. Instead of using a single fixed throttling period for every respondent, you can create rules based on Contact Properties, Metadata, and Enrichment.

Each rule can contain one or more conditions and its own throttling period. This allows you to define business-specific throttling policies without creating separate surveys for each respondent segment.

Info
Conditional Throttling is configured at the survey level. It extends the existing survey throttling configuration while continuing to use the existing respondent identification mechanism.

For example, you can configure the following rules:

Rule

Condition

Throttling period

Rule 1

Department = Tech

30 days

Rule 2

Department = Sales

60 days

Rule 3

Schema ID = Card-A

90 days

  2. For the rule, select the throttling period that should apply when the rule matches.

  3. Add at least one condition using Add Condition.

  5. Add additional conditions if required.

  6. Save the configuration after all required fields are completed

Info
Available attributes are populated based on the selected data source and the data available to the survey.

Info
Use Add Rule when you need a different throttling policy for another respondent segment. Each rule can be configured independently with its own conditions and throttling period.
