Appearance & Themes

Overview

The Appearance feature in Survey Builder allows you to customize the overall look and feel of your survey. It controls how your survey is visually presented to respondents, including themes, colors, fonts, branding elements, navigation buttons, and advanced styling. These settings are applied at the survey level and directly impact user experience, readability, and engagement.

Accessing Appearance

To access Appearance, go to the Build section of your survey and click on Appearance from the left panel. This section includes Default Themes, Saved Themes, and Modify Theme options.

Using Appearance Settings

Default Themes

Default Themes are pre-designed templates that can be applied instantly. They include predefined styles for questions, answers, and buttons, helping you quickly set up a visually consistent survey without manual customization.

Saved Themes

Saved Themes allow you to reuse previously created or customized themes. You can apply, edit, or manage these themes, making it easy to maintain consistent branding across multiple surveys without redesigning each one.

Create and Modify Theme

You can create a new theme or modify an existing one to fully customize your survey design. This includes updating the theme name, adjusting colors and fonts, adding branding elements, and configuring layout styles.

Customizing Your Survey

• Logo Customization – Upload your company logo, adjust its alignment (Left, Center, Right), and choose the appropriate size (Small, Medium, Large)
• Font & Color Settings – Customize question text, answer text, button colors, and background colors to match your brand
• Background Styling – Add background colors or images to enhance visual appeal
• Navigation Buttons – Choose button styles (Solid, Outlined, etc.) and control their alignment within the survey
• CSS Customization – Apply advanced custom styling using CSS for complete control over layout and design

Preview and Publish

After making changes, use Preview to see how your survey will appear to respondents. Click Publish to apply the updates. If the survey is already live, you need to publish again for the changes to reflect.

Important Notes

• Appearance settings apply at the survey level
• Always preview changes before publishing
• Ensure proper contrast between text and background for readability
• Avoid oversized logos that may disrupt layout
